Café l’Amiral on Main Street in Moncton offers a cozy, carefully curated café experience centered around quality crepes and thoughtfully prepared coffee. The space is modest but well arranged, making it a comfortable spot to unwind whether you're stopping by alone with a book or meeting friends. Naturally, its charm comes from a combination of its simple yet welcoming interior and its focus on scratch-made dishes that balance sweet and savory flavors.

Crepes here take center stage, with options like the hearty Ravenel crepe that layers chicken, bacon, and a house-made rose sauce, or the breakfast crepes that come with eggs and cheese, perfect for a mid-morning bite. If you swing by around lunch, the daily soup paired with a Nordic panini or one of the crepes offers satisfying, homemade flavors without the fuss of formal dining. Those with a sweet tooth can’t miss the dessert crêpes or the inventive bubble waffle sundaes, such as chocolate-banana or caramel, which add a playful twist to classic café fare.

The drink menu thoughtfully complements the food with rich espresso-based offerings and some standout treats like the Egg Nog Latte and London Fog — both known to appeal to locals craving something a bit different from the usual coffee shop staples. The café uses DeMello coffee, which highlights a smooth yet robust flavor profile that holds up well alongside sweeter options like the Choco Chocolat Maison.

Locals tend to visit during the calm hours of the late morning and early afternoon, making it an inviting spot for a casual coffee date, catching up on work, or spending a relaxed weekend brunch. Families are welcome, as the café accommodates young children with high chairs, showing attentiveness beyond just food and drink.

Beyond the food and drink, Café l’Amiral supports community culture by periodically hosting local art exhibitions, lending a subtle cultural layer to the experience without overwhelming the café's cozy vibe. The staff’s friendly, personable approach adds to the atmosphere, making visitors feel like more than just customers.

In summary, Café l’Amiral fits well into Moncton’s eclectic coffee scene as a go-to for those who appreciate well-crafted crepes paired with high-quality coffee in a quiet, charming setting. It’s a place likely to appeal to locals looking for a thoughtful, homey café experience where you can enjoy both small indulgences and more substantial light meals.

I recently visited a crepe place that I found while searching online, and it left such a great impression on me. What first caught my attention was the logo – it looked quite similar to a traditional Korean Hahoe mask, which instantly sparked my curiosity. The shop itself isn’t very big, but it has a clean, simple, and charming atmosphere. Everything felt thoughtfully arranged, giving off a cozy yet modern vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer. Now, about the crepes – they were absolutely delicious. I was genuinely impressed by the flavors and textures. My husband ordered a breakfast crepe, and to my surprise, it was amazing as well. It was slightly saltier than I expected, probably because of the bacon and cheese, but the overall flavor was rich and very satisfying. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Overall, I really liked everything about this place, from the design and atmosphere to the food and service. I have a feeling I’ll be coming back quite often.

My husband, 8 month daughter, and I had a wonderful experience at Café l’Amiral. My husband had the Persian omelet with a latte followed by a saffron tea. I had the Nordic panini with the daily soup and the best London fog I’ve ever tasted. The food was all very high quality and from scratch. They even had a high chair for our baby. The atmosphere and costumer service was top notch. We will be back!

Wonderful place to have good crepes ( savory or sweet) and pair it with their coffee. Cozy and beautiful ambiance. Owners are awesome! Great people! Come by and check them out. Perfect place to have coffee date, meeting with friends, business meeting or just hang out and enjoy your day with their food and drinks.

Such a cozy and beautiful spot! The almond croissant is DELICIOUS it’s flaky on the outside and soft and full of flavor inside. Easily the best I’ve ever had. The staff are super friendly too! They also have art exhibitions every couple of weeks from local artists. Local community support local artists. Love to see it.

I got the Cap au Basque with a vanilla latte, and both were absolutely DELICIOUS! Best savoury crepe and latte I've ever had. I will most certainly be back :)

Truly a hidden treasure in plain sight. Warm and inviting atmosphere, great decor, wonderful owners. The cappuccino is very good, as are the croissants and cookies, always very fresh.
